On the go with homeschool and the Keystone School

On the go with The Keystone School
Ava, our second homeschool graduate

We travel, a lot. In fact, traveling is so now ingrained into our kids educations that it’s become a core part of how our kids learn. Sometimes our destination is based on a current subject, or location, that our kids are learning about and but more often than not our destination is simply determined based on where we’d like to visit.

And on those trips I, as homeschool mom, find ways to bring learning alive everywhere we go! The thing is, as much as we love to travel there are still more days than not where we’re learning right in the comfort of our own home. (Or our local coffee if we need a change of scenery!) And, as our kids age, I’ve realized the need for more online, streaming class options, to help fit into our lifestyle. So, we’ve made some changes to our homeschooling this year.

For the first time in our 18 years of homeschool all 3 kids are taking online classes. And that’s where the Keystone School comes in. For our at home, and our on the go, days we’ve begun including classes from The Keystone school for our middle and high schoolers. The beauty of the classes provided by The Keystone School is that they are self paced meaning you and your child determine the pace at which they’ll complete the classes. Not only that, they’re all streaming which works great for days we’re at home or as we’re traveling the world. The only requirement is internet which we always require for remote work anyways!

They offer a fully accredited program so if you’re seeking a program that literally does all the work for you and provides a diploma at the end The Keystone School would be a fantastic choice!

The Keystone School allows our kids to stream school no matter where we’re at

Each course offers a mix between streaming videos and text to read, worksheets to complete and turn in and even quizzes that are graded right there in the website. The teachers are available for questions and discussion making the courses feel more engaging if thats what a child desires. Such a weight lifted off my shoulders! As a mom considering homeschooling and seeking homeschool resources you might find yourself a little timid when it comes to knowing the best curriculum choice for yourkids. If you’re seeking a “please just do the work for me” option the Keystone School would absolutely meet that need! Whether you have young kids in elementary school or older kids Keystone School offers a solution.

Our kids have appreciated being able to grab their laptops, log in and get their Keystone School courses done for the day without having to rely on me to oversee or guide them in each of those courses. I love that for the first time in 18 years of homeschooling I can offload some of these subjects and use my time getting my own work done, catching up on housework or meeting a friend for coffee if I want to!

Online classes like courses offered by The Keystone School allow:

  • core & elective options
  • streaming and at your own pace so you can take your school anywhere
  • Freedom in choosing your own subjects:
  • supplement your curriculum and courses with online videos through other platforms, AI, podcasts, online books and audio books
  • route your travels based on what your kids are learning about.
