Emma Donavan-Mendenhall: The Keystone School Student Spotlight

Emma is a junior is high school and is taking dual enrollment classes at The Keystone School.

Hello, my name is Emma and I’m currently a junior in high school taking dual-enrollment classes at Keystone. I have been fully online with Keystone for around four years. I have had a great experience that has allowed me to pursue many of my dreams.I am dedicated to performing community service and I’ve volunteered at local 5Ks and helped conservation efforts in my town by cleaning up trails, parks, and lakes. As a Boy Scout, I help to host our events, and I also volunteer at our local animal shelter and my town library when I can.

Emma Donavan-Mendenhall attends The Keystone School

Some of the things I love most about Keystone are the challenging classes, the connections I’ve made with other students, as well as the flexibility to work at my own pace. I love being able to meet people in similar situations as me through clubs that the school offers and National Honor Society. A great thing about a flexible schedule is I am able to get ahead with my schoolwork. This allows me to pursue things outside of academics, like acting in film and television and traveling the world. This summer I will be living in Paris while I attend the American University of Paris Summer School/Study Abroad program where I will earn college credit.I highly recommend Keystone and wouldn’t change my experience for anything.

Future plans: She plans to attend a four-year college or university and major in Biomedical Science with hopes of working in medical research. Her acting headshot is attached.

About Emma Donavan-Mendenhall, from Morgan Decoteau, Lead School Counselor at Keystone:

It’s my pleasure to work with Emma Donavan-Mendenhall in my capacity as the advisor of The Keystone School’s NHS Chapter.Emma was voted in as chapter president by her peers and leads our monthly chapter meetings after setting each meeting agenda. She works hard to include everyone in discussions and also leads ice-breaker conversations with the group when the chapter business meeting has concluded.

As a Keystone school counselor, I’ve met with her to coordinate her college dual enrollment courses to make sure she’s meeting our graduation requirements. She’s currently completed 5 college courses and plans to take more. Emma performs lots of community service outside of school, travels internationally with her family and somehow manages to also be a working actor with a resume on IMDB.She is an excellent example of a thriving Keystone student!
